Club nights are a great way to introduce swimmers to the art of racing and a great way to make new friends. Club nights are open to all swimmers from both learn to swim and squads that are capable of swimming 25m. Swimmers compete in races based on times, not age groups in a carnival format.
Our Churchie Swim Club nights are held fortnightly on Wednesday afternoons during Term 4 and Term 1 of the School year. Club nights commence at 5.00 pm and children are asked to be at the pool by 4.45 pm.
Club Night Overview
Each club night commences with a distance event, 50m for our younger swimmers and 100m for our senior swimmers. This is followed by 25m & 50m events of three different strokes.
Club Night Nomination Process
Swimmers are asked to complete the online nomination form for each fortnightly club night.
Note: this form is available the Thursday morning prior to club night and nominations close the following Tuesday evening.
Starting times and order of races
A meet program is compiled based on nominations received and commences at 5pm. Swimmers are seeded into races as per their entry times.
Club expectations and rules
The club sets standards of behaviour so that all members can enjoy the activities provided. Parents are expected to attend club nights with their children, not only to support their sporting aspirations, but also to ensure they follow club rules, particularly with respect to safety and behaviour. The rules can be found here.
Club night results
The results of each weekly club night can be found here.
